tasty tuesday {Simple Peach Cobbler}

i've been thinking that i need to blog more recipies. i did after all, start this blog for that purpose.  i love to cook things from scratch. i love reading cookbooks and researching recipes. i love getting recipes from my friends of thier favorite things and penning them on a recipe card and filing it into my recipe box. i've been thinking about starting a link up for a while now too. how many of you would link up once a week (on tuesdays) with a recipe to share?

i got this recipe from my mama trish! it's super simple and easy. plus i never have to run to the store to get anything for it. i always have everything in my cupboards and fridge. it's my go to dessert when i'm in a pinch!

what you'll need:
8x8 pan
1/2 cup (1stick) of butter
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 small can of sliced peaches--drained

~preheat oven to 350. melt butter in your oven in the 8x8 pan
~make a batter of the rest of the ingredients (except the peaches)
~Pour batter over melted butter-DO NOT STIR-
~layer peaches on top (they will sink down)-DON'T STIR
~bake at 350 for 1 hour.

*keep an eye on your butter in the oven or it will scorch! you want it to be just melted.

enjoy.
