what a weekend! (part 1)

hey guys! wow, what a weekend! This weekend hubby and i went to Holland, MI for a little r&r. it was wonderful. the people are so nice, and it has a nice small town atmosphere even though it's quite a large city. i'm currently blogging in the car on the way back home. i have to admit, i'm missing my kids. we left all three of them this weekend. it's the first time we've ever done that. mike's mom texted him last night as we were getting out of the ballet we went and saw, and told him that Isaiah (our 3 year old) was getting homesick. mike called his mom and apparently, isaiah packed up his little backpack and was trying to go out the front door of their house to go home. i statred crying as mike relayed that news to me.

here's a few of pictures from our weekend (more to come of course!)

the most comfy bed ever (City Flats Hotel)

It looks like you guys had a great time together, recharged the marriage tank and then got to go cuddle those babies of yours again!! I look forward to when me and the hubs can do this too!

  11. It sounds like a great weekend! I love the pics! I have never left my son longer than 24 hours and next month we are taking a vacation just the 2 of us. I think I might be the one to pack up my backpack and make a mad dash towards the door!
